| 英文描述 | DRACUNCULUS MEDINENSIS (in Asia and Africa) and D. INSIGNIS (in North America) are worms which live in the subcutanous tissue, and may cause nodules which ulcerate. There are anecdotal reports of this occurring in horses and cattle. Nodules are usually solitary. There may be systemic signs just before the nodules open to the surface. Dx by observation of the worm in the nodule. |
